What Will You Learn?

Data Acquisition and Management

Interns will be responsible for acquiring, processing, and managing data from various sources to ensure accurate and timely availability of data for analysis and visualization.

Data Visualization

Interns will be responsible for creating and maintaining data visualizations that provide insights into historical, current, and future natural disasters. This involves using Tableau to design dashboards that effectively communicate complex data.

Database and Warehouse Maintenance

Interns will manage and maintain EarthGuard AI's databases and data warehouses, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and accessibility of data.

Website Development and Maintenance

Interns will help develop and maintain the EarthGuard AI website, ensuring it effectively communicates the organization’s mission, services, and research findings to a broad audience. This involves working with Wix to manage website content and features.

Minimum Internship Requirements

Education

Applicants must be currently pursuing a degree in a relevant scientific field, such as Computer Science, Geoscience, Geology, or a related discipline.

Skills

Candidates should possess strong programming skills and a solid understanding of fundamental programming concepts. Additionally, applicants should have some knowledge of databases and database management, as well as familiarity with data analysis and data science principles.
